Beads or 'manik manik' in local terms were used in the creation of many items in this era. Some more common items
are beaded shoes, beaded hangings and beaded pouches.
Various colours were used to produce remarkable designs in this craft.
Even today, beaded shoes are a common trend and can be purchased from many shops. However, the beads are newly machine
made and not hand crafts as in the olden days.
